In 1972, our founder stepped up to lead an Olympic smallbore club — a role no one else wanted. The reason quickly became obvious: the rifles were in terrible condition, and the only apparent solution was to return them all to the DCM (Department of Civilian Marksmanship, now the CMP) for replacement. Instead, with a little ingenuity and a new approach, the rifles were cleaned and restored using what would later become PrOlix® Dry Lubricant. Word spread, and by 1980 PrOlix® was showcased at the Los Angeles Law Enforcement Expo, reaching retail shelves by 1986.

COVID-19 pandemic impacts: we have been swamped with calls relating to guns removed from storage found to be non-functioning as a result of their being stored following use of a petroleum/synthetic product; meanwhile, our “new look” bottle has been delayed as a result of a supplier shutdown (we look forward to having bottles that we can label and ship out!).
